JS 20S
Ibanez JS20S Story
The JS20S is the cheaper version of the wonderful JS20th. Both were celebrating the 20th anniversary of the collaboration and association between Joe Satriani and Ibanez. The Silver Surfer from the Surfing With The Alien album is on it. We may think that this guitar was in a Prestige rang, but it had medium frets, a regular JS neck with pearly dots, no hi-pass filter but still have the coil tap, is Korean made and with Axis Humbuckers pickups, the same that featured on the JS100 and JS600.
On the other hand it had this fabulous and iconic Silver Surfer on it, the “Joe Satriani” stamp inlaid at the 21th fret, and it was sold cheaper than the regular Prestige model. The JS20S is the only JS guitar having an Edge III.
