Joe Satriani is most of the time known for his songs full of epic solos, his melodic theme and powerful riffs. Yet, we can sometimes hear him singing in a few songs, starting from Flying In A Blue Dream in 1989 where he sang for the first time on six tracks, getting closer from his audience with the rock single « I Believe ». Since then we had the pleasure to head his voice on a few  songs all scattered in his insturmental albums Time Machine in 1993, the eponymous Joe Satriani two year later and finally Is There Love In Space? in 2004.

“I knew I wasn’t a singer,” said Joe. “I was a vocalizer, I think that’s what I told myself. I was able to vocalize, but I wasn’t actually a singer.” However his texts are talking about relevant themes, love, losses and tragedies, humor… It’s been more than ten years from now than Joe never sang on an album, but we keep waiting for this rare delicious weakness and enjoying listening to his voice on the 10 songs he left.
