The new Ibanez from Prestige series, the JS2410
A new Ibanez guitar signature Joe Satriani, the JS2410, will be out in the Prestige series, joining the JS1200, JS1000, JS2000 and other high-end guitars, this one is the JS2400’s sister.
They indeed have a lot of similarities, but some nice new things await you for this JS2410, and we start of course with the orange color so-called « Muscle Car Orange » (MCO) that dresses the guitar, this color was actually one of the Joe’s JS2400 on the Satchurated DVD/Blueray.
Just have a quick look on the specs…

Deep inside, this guitar have very interessant new specs compared to its sister: the JS2400’s body is in basswood when the one of the JS2410 is made of alder, which gaves a more vintage sounding. The weight will also be lightened a little bit.
About the color now the « Cosmo Black » hardware will not be chromed but matt in order to match the orange main color and, last visual difference, it’s the first JS signature guitar to have a 3 pieces neck, there will be a long brown band on the center back of the neck.
Now let’s focus on the pickups, the Mo’ Joe stays as the bridge pickup but the Pro Track changes!
Indeed, a new Joe Satriani signature pickup, « The Satch Track » will come out, and it will based on the Pro Track.
Like the JS2400, the JS2410 keeps the high-pass filter on the volume button and the Coil Tap on the tone button, that naturally involes a 3 positions selector switch. The floyd stays the same, so the frets (6105), the rosewood fretboard and the Team J. Craft flight case are.
A new « Ultralite Tremolo Arm » seems to be on the way.
A release date? During the 2013 summer…
